Let me know if you know of any cool places to grab a bite to eat or any local scenes to take in as I head out there for a conference this weekend.

Yes. Go to Graeter's, Walnut Street. Wonderful ice cream! It will keep you going and cool.
Hey GRM,
A little link help:

Where are you staying and will you have wheels?
Kingston Marriot and I will have wheels.
I second Graeter's
Since you will be in Clifton, you may as well go to Graeter's on Ludlow vs. downtown. You could also visit the Skyline Chili at Ludlow and Clifton for a very Cincinnati experience.
Cilantro on Clifton in University Heights is close to the University and good. If you venture farther down Ludlow into Northside, Melt is fantastic. Great sandwiches and lots of vegan options.
Thanks for the tips, I knew about Skyline but its so warm out it doesn't really feel like Chili season, but who knows I may stop and get a bowl.
Gee,
If 72 F is hot weather for you, pretty sure you all come originally from Alaska!
Not hot for me, I just prefer chili when its cold outside.
Even though I am a Texan, I enjoyed Skyline Chili. The Cincinnati Zoo is quite good.
Great idea about the zoo, I've got some free time on Friday, I may go check it out.
