This morning I was browsing through my favorite blogs and happen over the Cackle of Rad for a music post in which the delightful CoR assaults us with the band Pylon, who have apparently dragged up the ghost of the Cobain era Courtney Love to be their lead singer.
I'll counter with something a little easier on the morning palate, by a band whose new* album has been on constant repeat in my life for over a month.
*New in the US, it's been out in the UK for a bit.

Ha! That is where you are wrong! Pylon started it all -- REM, etc etc. They were one of the central bands when punk was becoming punk and thus way before indie rockers.
When punk rockers gargled with gasoline, like real rockstars?
That's right.
So I am not the only one who has had this album on repeat*?
Personally, while I enjoy the occasional Courtney love tune (occasional-- as in the world is about to explode and the corresponding magnetic field surge has reduced my iPod play list down to one song), I just cannot do a lot of REM, Live, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. and... Nirvana. Every single Nirvana song sounds exactly the same to me. Every. Single. One.
I do believe it is time to post some Social Distortion and Flogging Molly.
*It is, in fact, it is playing right now.
And Bah! over here too.
Ping!
