The Science Bloggers for Students drive is now on.
For those of you who don’t know what this is all about ... DonorsChoose.org is an organization that helps support teachers, students and classes that are in need of financial support. Every single penny of the money you donate goes to the kids you support. You can give as much or as little as you choose. Even $5 will help.

I’ve chosen projects that are from areas of high poverty and that are asking for the most basic things like chairs, pens and paper. Yes, that’s right - some students don’t even have decent chairs or things to write with or on. I’ve also chosen projects that provide basic equipment for health and physical activity as we need to find a way to promote movement and wellness amongst those kids that are in the demographic that are most likely to become obese.
And here’s an extra incentive for you to get your credit card out ... HP has agreed to match each and every dollar you donate. You will receive a gift card by email equal to the amount you have donated which you can then apply to a project of your choice. Two for the price of one!
Please give what you can to support these kids. If all of my readers give just $5 each, we will be able to fund almost all of the projects listed.
